Assurant Health Access eligibility
Assurant Health Access has fewer eligibility requirements than many traditional plans, and the application consists of only a few medical questions. Anybody age 63 or younger can apply for a plan, and applicants with pre-existing conditions can receive benefits for expenses related to their conditions after 12 months. Assurant Health is one of only a handful of companies offering cash benefits to domestic partners.
What about pre-existing conditions?
Assurant Health Access will pay benefits for events related to pre-existing conditions after the policyholder has been insured for 12 months.
Where is Assurant Health Access available?
Assurant Health is working to provide Assurant Health Access benefits across the country. As of May 2011, Assurant Health Access is available in 33 states: AK, AL, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WI, WV and WY.
